The Idea – How It All Began

Volant & Crumb was born from faith, heritage, and a dream that kept growing in my heart.

For many years, I felt a calling – a quiet but steady desire to share something deeply meaningful from my home in Switzerland with the world. My faith has always been the foundation of my life, guiding me through decisions and showing me that even small, simple things – like a loaf of bread – can carry love, tradition, and purpose.

As I prepared for a new chapter – moving to Colorado and starting a life with the person I love – the idea became clearer: I wanted to bring a piece of Switzerland with me. Not just as a memory, but as something living and tangible that could nourish others.

What began as a longing has become Volant & Crumb – a way to share the flavors, traditions, and heart of my homeland. Each of my baking mixes is carefully prepared and lovingly packed by hand into simple paper bags. Inside you’ll find everything you need: the best natural ingredients, thoughtfully sourced, and a recipe card that guides you step by step. These mixes are more than just convenience – they’re a bridge to the heritage I grew up with and an invitation to bake something truly meaningful in your own kitchen.

But Volant & Crumb is also about celebration and comfort – which is why I offer a small selection of authentic Swiss baked goods made with care, just as they are back home: rich, nutty Engadiner Nusstorte, spiced and comforting Magenbrot, and traditional Basler Läckerli. Each one tells a story of Swiss craftsmanship, tradition, and faith passed down through generations.

Volant & Crumb is more than a business. It’s a mission – to share heritage and hope, one loaf, one cake, one memory at a time. And as I prepare to build a life across the ocean, I carry not just my suitcase, but the traditions of generations before me… and the dream of bringing a taste of Switzerland to new tables in Colorado.

Be a Part of
a Lovestory

Be a part of a love story between two people separated by an ocean.

I met the man I love in Colorado, thousands of miles away from my home in Switzerland. And while distance can be challenging, it also gave birth to something truly beautiful: a dream that connects love, purpose, and heritage.

The only way for me to be close to him is to move to Colorado. But as an independent woman, I knew that the easy path – simply marrying and moving – was not the right one for me. I wanted to build something meaningful, something of my own.

That is how Volant & Crumb was born.

Through this project, I am not only creating a path for myself to qualify for a visa, but also laying the foundation to contribute something valuable to the place and people who will become my new home. My vision is to build a business that celebrates Swiss baking traditions while creating opportunities, jobs, and community here in Colorado.

This is more than bread. It’s a story of love, courage, and purpose – and you are invited to be part of it.
